Tell us about yourself and what led you to the residency?

Hello! I am a textile artist and designer. My work goes on many directions such as memory, our natural environments, and materiality/color exploration. I love to experiment these concepts through different processes like weaving, drawing, and pattern. I've heard great things about Praxis and always wanted to weave on the TC2. Really glad that my first art residency is with you all!

Have you had any previous experience with Digital Weaving or Jacquard?

Yes! I have experience with programming on the Jacquard loom and using an AVL dobby loom. I was fortunate to be surrounded by peers and professors at RISD that taught me all I know :)

Any goals for the residency you'd like to share?

Trying to push myself to be a little more personal in my work. Thinking about my Korean and Moroccan identity and the role textiles has played in my life/family lineage. Also learning everything about the TC2!
