Tell us about yourself and what led to the Residency?

I am mostly a painter, but in the last year I have been working hard to teach myself different types of weaving and have become absolutely obsessed with it! My work explores sports fandom and broadcasting. I am particularly interested in the various methods of record keeping that hold the histories of these sports - from TV and radio broadcasts, to photographs, to statistics, to the physical wear and tear of equipment worn during games, to oral histories - and finding new ways to present them.

Have you had any previous experience with Digital Weaving or Jacquard?

Nope!

Any goals for the residency that you would like to share?

I am hoping to create enough fabric to sew a hockey jersey.
