Artist Statement: 
Involved in the contemporary spheres of politics, culture, and the increasingly self introspective social media apparatus, is the need for a new kitsch. Josie Krampitz and Nate Rouse seek to explore, playfully and seriously. Centered in their work, on view at Praxis Fiber Workshop from October 3rd until December 15th, is the object of wallpaper, as it has existed historically, and as it may continue to exist into the future. What has wallpaper been? What can it become? These are the foremost questions of the contemporary age (we promise). They're also quite silly questions to ask, perhaps meaningless. Suffice it to say, definitive answers are not be given.
