The Praxis Natural Dye Artist Residency invites artists, designers, researchers, and makers to explore the intersection of natural dyes, sustainable textile practices, cultural histories, and community engagement.
Rooted in Praxis's commitment to environmental sustainability and the power of fiber arts to connect communities, the residency encourages creative inquiry into the traditions, histories, and contemporary possibilities of natural color, with a particular interest in indigo.
We welcome proposals that explore material experimentation, sustainable practices, cultural research, and socially engaged art. Residents are encouraged to consider how their work might contribute to broader conversations about textiles, the environment, and the communities in which we live.
Tell us about your practice, what you hope to explore during your time at Praxis, and how your work connects to these ideas.
