Tell us about yourself and what led to the Residency?

Years ago I was able to weave in a couple of Jacquard looms, one totally manual, the other electronica, and I was fascinated with the possibilities. So now that I am living in the US, I found very excited about trying a TC2, because it looks like a more accesible Jacquard loom

Have you had any previous experience with Digital Weaving or Jacquard?

I wove with a Samtex, is electronic but different to the TC2.

Any goals for the residency you'd like to share?

The main goal was know the loom. Every loom has a different soul, and you need to have a long conversation to understand what type of project is better for that particular one. I had a couple of images I was obsessed with. They didnt turn out like I expected, so I change gears and I tried other things. I learned a lot in the process. Also I enjoyed the Praxis studio, the people, the connection with the community. I think is a great place.
