Tell us about yourself and what led to the Residency?

I’m a textile artist based in Wisconsin, working in the overlap between fiber art and technlology. I received my MFA from SAIC, where I first learned to use the TC2 loom and began translating low-resolution digital imagery, like reCAPTCHA prompts, into woven form, which I continued with a previous residency at Praxis. I'm really looking forward to the uninterrupted time, quiet, and 24/7 loom access -- the dream, for an introverted night owl like me. I hope to further expand the body of work I made during my first residency with some new, more intricate weaving structures and source material.
