Tell us about yourself and what led to the Residency?

I'm an interdisciplinary artist working across video, sculpture and textile processes. I was drawn to the digital loom because it allows me to take advantage of hybrid processes and explore material and imagery in more expansive ways. I'm still very much a beginner and love the slow, magical reveal of the work on the loom.

Have you had any previous experience with Digital Weaving or Jacquard?

My only other experience was in the TC2 intro workshop at Praxis last summer.

Any goals for the residency that you would like to share?

I'd like to better understand the complexities of weave structures and how to choose combinations for different effects.
