Tell us about yourself and what led to the Residency?

I’m an artist and designer who grew up in Cleveland. I went to CIA for Fiber & Material Studies back when that was a major. I have a masters degree in Landscape Architecture. I currently split my time between Joshua Tree and Los Angeles, California. I’m inspired by the colors and dry textures and plants of the Mojave desert and I’m working on a body of work inspired by the California Hi Desert.

Have you had any previous experience with Digital Weaving or Jacquard?

Yes, I took a TC2 at Praxis in 2023 and 2024

Any goals for the residency you'd like to share?

I looking to experiment with yarns & textures inspired by the desert. I’m planning to focus mostly on the color yellow.
