Tell us about yourself and what led to the Residency?

Working between emerging technology and social practice, Megan Young explores how computer vision shapes memory. During her residency, she will expand her ongoing "Catchings" series, which draws from personal archives and reimagines computational renderings through craft-based practices. Using digital weaving and other material experiments, the project juxtaposes traditional and contemporary techniques to explore how images shift, mutate, and accumulate meaning as they move between digital and physical forms.

Any goals for the residency that you would like to share?

The residency will inform my ongoing work, though I'd be delighted to produce a few completed pieces!
