Bridges + Connections is an international conference designed to explore how artists, makers, and designers form connections across practice, process, and media. We begin with digital weaving as a generative model, and expand outward into craft, experimental media, hybrid processes, and tool-based innovation.

The conference centers on four core constructs: materiality, conceptuality, process, and design. Participants are invited to share approaches to materials, methods, and ideas; to reveal new techniques, adaptations, and “loom hacks”; and to investigate the spaces between haptic and virtual making.

Over multiple days, the conference unfolds through workshops, short presentations, experimental formats, and collaborative conversation. Our aim is to build bridges between disciplines, between artists, and between modes of making, creating opportunities for new knowledge, connections, and discovery.
