Tell us about yourself and what led you to the residency?

I had my first experience with the TC2 at the School of The Art Institute At Chicago where I was in the Fibers program. I started working more consistently with the TC2 only in my third semester onwards and knowing the limited access to this machine after graduation led me to apply to the Praxis program.

Painting has been my major art practice but I have been very drawn to the tactile quality and textures of a textile. A desire to bring both medium together in my own language led to my current work.

Have you had any previous experience with Digital Weaving or Jacquard?

Yes, at School of The Art Institute At Chicago.

Any goals for the residency you'd like to share?

I have plans to weave approximately 25+yards.
