Tell us about yourself and what led you to the residency?

I have always woven and wanted to explore this new technology and how it could move me forward in the expansion of my work as a fiber artist.

Have you had any previous experience with Digital Weaving or Jacquard?

I worked with a 20 Harness AVL Compu-Dobby for years designing textiles for both the residential and contract markets. I also designed jacquards for these markets. I wrote the curriculum to teach jacquard design for the Textile Surface Design Dept at FIT in NYC.

Any goals for the residency you'd like to share?

I want to integrate new weaves I developed on my AVL dobby loom into the art work that I created for this residency.
