Tell us about yourself and what led you to the residency?

A few years ago, my predominately photo-based practice was pried open when a loom showed me new ways to elevate my otherwise two-dimensional work. Since then, I've been looking forward to further explore weaving and take what I learned to new levels.

Have you had any previous experience with Digital Weaving or Jacquard?

Yes! I took John Paul Morabito's class at SAIC in 2021.

Any goals for the residency you'd like to share?

I'm working on a serious of work surrounding the topic of grief and how it lives in the body. A lot of the files I brought to weave are images I've taken in graveyards over the years where I play with shadow and stone.
